The storm found him.
The stone chose him.

Yash Pandey is a high-school junior in the San Francisco Bay Area. On a storm-lashed Diwali night, a carved stone jams his bicycle wheel—and leads him toward a destiny hidden across continents and centuries.

At the Shree Padmanabhaswamy Temple in India, the stone vanishes and burns a U-shaped mark into Yash’s palm. With his cousins Kamya and Raghuveer, he follows a living map through Kashi, ancient Nalanda, and sacred places alive with cosmic power. But Zopa, a brilliant monk consumed by darkness, is raising an army of terracotta warriors and hunting an ancient force capable of annihilating worlds.

To stop him, the cousins must survive gods’ trials, travel through time, and unravel a prophecy that warns of a devastation once averted—and now at the doorstep.

About the Author

Amarja
Lokare

A story written for her son.
A world that grew into a trilogy.

Amarja Lokare works in the technology industry and likes adventure and fantasy novels. Her fascination with India’s ancient history, particularly the great epics, the Ramayana and the Mahabharata, inspires her imagination. She also enjoys exploring ancient monuments and temples across India.

She began writing during the COVID-19 pandemic, hoping to give her son something new and thrilling to read. He loved the story—and what began as a gift for him soon grew into something much larger.

That idea has since blossomed into a YA fantasy trilogy, beginning with Concealed by the Gods, bringing together her love of adventure, Indian mythology, and ancient history.
